Watering

Once in 2 weeks

ZZ plants can survive even in infrequent watering as they are grown as drought-tolerant. However, the plants should be watered whenever you find the soil dried up. Check the wetness of the soil by immersing your finger at least 2 inch deep in the soil.  It is also important NOT to water the plant excessively, as it may result in root decay. The plants survive the best when not watered, rather than watering excessively. In ZZ plants, you can find bulb-like structures called rhizomes at the bottom of the plant, which is capable of storing water for its survival. With this reason, ZZ plants can go months without water.
